Question by CT: What are the best seats to view a Nascar race at Phoenix speedway? Also are the Pit passes worth it?
I’m thinking of surprising my husband with tickets. I’ve never been to a race and have no idea where the best place to sit is? Also thinking about getting him the pit pass. Also where is the best place to get tickets?

Best place to get tickets:http://www.phoenixinternationalraceway.com
That’s the safest way cause it’s directly from the track. Go High up in Bryan Grandstand.
As far as pit passes go I think they’re not worth what they cost. But that’s just my opinion.

Bryan Grandstand on the upper levels allows you a great view and plenty of action of the pits. Get your ticket(s) through Pheonix Speedway online. You’ll save anywhere from $ 20-$ 60. About pit passes, that is up to the individual. The first 4 races I went to I had pit passes and loved it. You have a great chance of seeing and meeting your favorite driver(s). I meet Richard Petty, Dale Earnhart Sr., Bobby Allison and AJ Foyt having a pit pass. To me, back then it was worth it.Of course we’re talking the mid 70s. The last 15 or 16 races I attended I didn’t have a pit pass and did OK. But I do like the pits. What ever you decide just have fun…You’ll love it.
I don’t have good information on the best seats at PIR. I was there about 5 years ago and had mediocre seats. We also had pit passes and I personally didn’t think they were worth it. There were no drivers or crewchiefs anywhere and we got to watch some crewmembers glue lugnuts on the tires. Then they cleared the pits out and that was that. But if you’ve never been, and your husband is a big fan, I’m sure he’d appreciate that little extra surprise to go with the whole race experience. Then you can make a decision if you ever want to visit the pits again. Personal experience is important and each person is different.
AS for the best seats I would say terrace if their is a section called that. I went to Pocono 3 weeks ago and the terrace was very good especially cause it rained and we were covered, but you can see the entire track from their), also I had the gift for pit passes, and let me tell you they are defiently worth it. I saw every car and driver up close, go through inspections. But dont confuse the pit pass with the othe rmore expensice one, the pit passs doesnt allow you to enter the garage/ driver area but its worth it. You also get to go to the pit lanes where you see and look at cars and pit crews up close, like them putting on lugnuts etc. It is a very cool experience.
